Dr. Brunilda Alushi is a highly qualified and experienced consultant interventional cardiologist based in Germany. She holds a board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology from the Board of Physicians in Berlin, Germany, an MD from the University of Turin, a PhD in Molecular Medicine, and an Expert in Clinical Research certification from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston, USA. Dr. Alushi completed her training in internal medicine and cardiology at the renowne...d Charite Medical University in Berlin, where she also began her fellowship in interventional cardiology, focusing on the percutaneous treatment of coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease. She is a Level III certified specialist in cardiac magnetic resonance tomography from the US American Society of Cardiac MRI (SCMR) and a Level II certified specialist in cardiac computed tomography from the US American Society of Cardiac CT (SCCT). Dr. Alushi is currently a consultant interventional cardiologist at the Department of Interventional Cardiology in Klinik Vincentinum in Augsburg, Germany, where she specializes in complex coronary interventions. She is also affiliated with several working groups and societies, including the German Society of Cardiology (DGK), the European Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (FEACVI), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the Working group in cardiac computed tomography (CCT) of the DGK, the Working group in cardiac magnetic resonance tomography (CMR) of the German Society of Cardiology, the Working Group on Valvular Heart Disease of the ESC, the Working group on Interventional Cardiology of the DGK, and the Working group on Interventional Cardiology of the European Society of Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (EAPCI). Dr. Alushi has received several awards for her research, including the research award of the Helios Academy for the prospective study TRuE: "Percutaneous treatment of severe tricuspid regurgitation" in 2020, the 2020 EACVI training grant in cardiovascular imaging from the European Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), and the Best Poster Award in the section cardiogenic shock at the European Congress of Cardiology in 2018. She has published more than 25 articles, reviews, and books and is a reviewer for various prestigious medical journals.
