Dr. Sohail Khan

Dr. Sohail Khan is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, part of University Hospitals Birmingham, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at The University of Birmingham. Dr. Khan graduated from the University of Edinburgh and has undertaken cardiology training in the UK (Manchester). He was awarded an Interventional Fellowship at Toronto General Hospital, Canada, in 2010, where he focused on complex coronary intervention. Dr. Khan specializes in CTO and high-risk coronar...y angioplasty and frequently uses Impella, rotablation/laser atherectomy, and intra-coronary imaging; he is a big fan of DK crush stenting. Dr. Khan is heavily involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate training and has trained numerous cardiologists, many of whom are practicing around the world in Europe, Asia, and Africa. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London and Edinburgh, a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is regularly invited to lecture and has performed procedures both nationally and internationally as a guest operator.
