Biography

Dr. Enrique Otero Chulian is an experienced clinical cardiologist with an extensive career in the field. He received his MD and Diplomate in Internal Medicine from the University of Cadiz in 1978, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the University Hospital Cadiz from 1976 to 1978. He went on to become the Director of the Hospital Punta de Europa in Algeciras, Cadiz, from 1985 to 1987, and later worked as a staff doctor in the cardiology service at the University Hospital Puerta del M...ar in Cádiz from 1988 to 2016. He was also the Head of the Cardiology Department at Hospital Jerez in Cadiz from 2016 to 2018. Dr. Chulian holds a PhD from the University of Cadiz, which he obtained in 1981, and a Diplomate in Cardiology and Internal Medicine, which he received in the same year. He also underwent Training in Nuclear Cardiology at Southwestern Medical School Center in Dallas in 1984, under the direction of Professor James T. Willerson. Dr. Chulian has published over 65 publications, participated in 80 scientific meetings, and was invited to more than 50 lectureships. He received several awards for his contributions to the field, including Pfizer’s Award of the Spanish Cardiology Society in 1993 and The Best Publication in the Spanish Journal of Cardiology in 1998. Currently, Dr. Chulian works privately as a clinical cardiologist in Cadiz and Seville, Spain. He is a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and a member of the Accreditation Committee of the Spanish Society of Cardiology. He also serves as the President of the Andalusian Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Working Group and is affiliated with the European Society of Cardiology, the Spanish Society of Cardiology, and the European Preventive Cardiology.
