Dr. Fabian Hauck is a highly qualified specialist in immunology, pediatric hematology, and oncology, with extensive experience in inborn errors of immunity and secondary immunodeficiency. He earned his Medical Degree at Johannes-Gutenberg-University Mainz and Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg in Germany, and his PhD in Immunobiology at Paris Descartes University in France. Dr. Hauck has held various positions in Immunology, Immunodeficiency, and Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. He curr...ently serves as the Head of the Division of Pediatric Immunology and Rheumatology and the Vice Director of the Munich Center for Rare Diseases of Dr. von Hauner University Children's Hospital at Ludwig-Maximilians-University, where he has been working since 2012. In addition, Dr. Hauck is a member of the Executive Committee of the Hauner iPSC (Integrated Pediatric Study Center) and has also served as a senior physician, consultant pediatrician, and head of the Immunodeficiency Unit and the Immunological Diagnostics Laboratory at the same institution. Prior to that, he worked as an Assistant Physician in departments of Pediatric Hematology and Immunology at Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris, France, and the University Children’s Hospital, Medical Faculty Carl Gustav Carus, Technical University Dresden, in Dresden, Germany. Dr. Hauck has an impressive research record, with more than 130 publications. His outstanding achievements in the field of clinical immunology were recognized with several awards, including the Hans-Hench-Promotion-Award for Clinical Immunology in 2014, and the Walter-Hitzig-Award in 2013, both from the German Society for Immunology. Dr. Hauck is a member of the German Society for Immunology and continues to actively contribute to research in his field while holding a prominent leadership position in pediatric immunology and rare disease communities.
