Dr. Ciro Rinaldi

Dr. Ciro Rinaldi is an accomplished Consultant Hematologist with a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Currently serving as the Deputy Medical Director and Director of Research and Innovation at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust in Lincoln, United Kingdom, Dr. Rinaldi has been making significant contributions to the healthcare industry. Dr. Rinaldi's professional journey began in 2003 when he obtained his MD from the University of Naples Federico II. Followin...g his education, he embarked on a career focused on hematology. He started as a Resident in Hematology at the University of Naples Federico II, where he honed his expertise in the field from 2003 to 2007. During this period, Dr. Rinaldi gained experience in the international landscape by working as a Research Specialist at the University of Illinois Chicago in the United States from 2006 to 2007. This opportunity expanded his knowledge and provided him with a global perspective on hematology research. In 2010, Dr. Rinaldi joined the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust as a Consultant Hematologist. Since then, he has been dedicated to providing excellent patient care and serving in various leadership roles within the organization. Notably, he has served as the Divisional Clinical Director for CSS and Medicine from 2019 to 2022 and as the Clinical Director for Support Services from 2014 to 2022. These roles allowed him to contribute to the strategic development and improvement of healthcare services. Furthermore, Dr. Rinaldi has held the position of Professor of Hematology at the University of Lincoln since 2019. He runs multiple clinics, including general hematology clinics focusing on myeloma, leukemia, lymphoproliferative disorders/chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Additionally, he oversees a clinic dedicated to myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). Dr. Rinaldi's contributions extend beyond clinical practice and education. He has a remarkable research background, having served as the Principal Investigator for numerous phase 2-3 commercial and non-commercial trials over the past 11 years. Currently, he is the Principal Investigator for 12 phase 2-3 clinical trials, focusing on myeloproliferative neoplasms, acute leukemia, and myelodysplastic syndrome. His expertise and research leadership have led to his selection as the National Chief Investigator for studies such as the Command study, INCB50465-304, and PV studies. Dr. Rinaldi's contributions to medical literature are notable, with over 60 publications to his name.
