Dr. Karine Grigoryan

Dr. Karine Grigoryan is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist. She specializes in Advanced and Multimodality Cardiac Imaging, Structural Periprocedural Cardiac Imaging, and Valvular heart diseases. Dr. Grigoryan holds several accreditations, including Transthoracic, Transoesophageal, and Stress Echocardiography with the British Society of Echocardiography. She is also Level III Accredited in Cardiac CT with the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK.

Throughout her career, Dr. Grigoryan has developed a special interest in the management of Valvular heart diseases, advanced echocardiography, 3D transesophageal, and Stress echocardiography, Periprocedural transoesophageal echocardiography for transcatheter aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valve interventions, as well as structural cardiac CT. Her dedication to these areas of expertise has made her an invaluable member of the Valve/Structural/Heart team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust in London, where she currently serves as a Cardiology consultant since 2021. In her role at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust, Dr. Grigoryan provides comprehensive care to Valve patients and Infective Endocarditis patients in the Cardiology Ward. She also performs Advanced Echocardiography/TOE/Stress echo for both inpatients and outpatients, covers periprocedural TOE/Cardiac CT, and conducts outpatient Valve clinics. Additionally, she is actively involved in teaching and supervising Valve physiologists, echo cardiographers, fellows, and junior doctors. Dr. Grigoryan is committed to research, undertaking multiple research projects to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in her field.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Grigoryan worked as a Cardiologist and General Medical doctor at Princess Royal University Hospital in London. Her responsibilities included the management of Cardiology and General medical patients. She gained further experience as a Senior Clinical Fellow in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit at St Georges Hospital in London, where she managed critically unwell cardiac, thoracic, and vascular patients and performed Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echo examinations. Before her current position, Dr. Grigoryan served as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Advanced Cardiac Imaging at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust and at Barts Health NHS Trust.
