Dr. Pranai Buddhdev

Dr. Pranai Buddhdev is a highly accomplished orthopedic surgeon with a diverse range of qualifications, professional memberships, and accolades. He completed his MBBS degree at the Royal Free and University College London Medical School in London from 2002 to 2008. In 2015, he obtained an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University. Currently, Dr. Buddhdev serves as a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic & Young Adult Hip Surgeon at Broomfield & Addenbrookes NHS Hospitals in C...ambridge, UK, a position he has held since 2019. He has also gained valuable international experience through fellowships, including the ISHA Travelling Fellowship in 2019, during which he worked with experts from renowned institutions such as Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, USA, Bern in Switzerland, and Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, MA, USA. Dr. Buddhdev's training includes his time as a Speciality Training Registrar in Orthopaedics in the South East Rotation of the London Deanery. Throughout his career, Dr. Buddhdev has been an active member of various professional organizations, including the British Society of Children's Orthopaedic Surgery (BSCOS), the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA), the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS), Skeletal Dysplasia Group UK (SKDG), British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), British Orthopaedic Research Society (BORS), and International Interdisciplinary Committee on DDH Evaluation (ICODE). His accomplishments and contributions have been recognized through numerous prizes, awards, and scholarships. These include the Best Paper Prize at the Royal London Hospital Orthopaedics & Trauma Society Meeting in June 2021, the Skeletal Dysplasia Group UK - Founders Prize in November 2020, and the ISHA: The Hip Preservation Society - The Richard Villar Trainee Excellence in Clinical Research Award in October 2018, among others.
