Biography

Dr. Mark Trombetta has an extensive education and employment history in the field of radiation oncology. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at Hahnemann University from 1981 to 1985. Following his medical degree, he pursued postgraduate training, including a rotating internship at Allegheny General Hospital from 1985 to 1986. He then specialized in radiation oncology and completed his residency at Allegheny General Hospital from 1986 to 1989. During his residency, he also received specia...l training in pediatric radiation oncology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 1988 and in gynecologic oncology at the University of California, Irvine, in 1989. Dr. Trombetta started his professional career as a physician at Triangle Radiation Oncology Associates, Inc. in Beaver, PA, where he worked from 1989 to 2000. He also served as a consulting staff member at various hospitals, including Forbes Regional Hospital, The Washington Hospital, The Medical Center of Beaver County, Jameson Memorial Hospital, Trinity Health Systems, and Allegheny Health Network: Canonsburg. Throughout his career, Dr. Trombetta held several important positions, such as Medical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Washington Hospital and the Tony Teramana Cancer Center at Trinity Health Systems. He also served as an Associate Residency Program Director at West Penn Allegheny Health System and as a Rotation Director of Radiation Oncology for the Medical Oncology Fellowship Program.
