Biography

Dr. Christian Denzer is a specialist in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes with nearly 20 years of experience in the Department of Pediatrics at Ulm University in Germany. He received his MD from Philipps-University Marburg and wrote his doctoral thesis on "Obesity in Childhood and Adolescence: Profile of a large-scale Obesity Outpatient Clinic." Dr. Denzer has been involved in the development of various interdisciplinary endocrine follow-up programs, such as the "Endocrine follow-up care f...or childhood cancer survivors" guideline, for which he was the head of the German evidence-based guideline (S3). He has also co-authored several guidelines, including "Fertility Preservation for Patients with Malignant Disease," and is a mandate holder of the German Association for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (DGKED e.V.) in the guideline project "Thyroid cancer." Dr. Denzer has been affiliated with various working groups, including the International Guideline Harmonization Group for Late Effects of Childhood Cancer, where he served as a working group member for "Screening for the Metabolic Syndrome in childhood cancer survivors" and as a working group chair for "Surveillance for hypothalamic/pituitary disorders in childhood cancer survivors." He was also a member of the board of the German Working Group Obesity in Childhood and Adolescence. Dr. Denzer has received the Triple A-Award from the German Working Group for Pediatric Diabetes and has published more than 80 publications throughout his career.
