Dr. Alexander Kiani

Dr. Alexander Kiani is a well-respected physician and researcher in the field of oncology and hematology. He received his MD from the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg im Breisgau and completed his residency program and worked as a research assistant at the same university. He also spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow at The Center For Blood Research and Department of Pathology, Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. Dr. Kiani then moved to the University Clinic in Dresden, where he... worked as a senior physician and continued his research in oncology and hematology. He has published more than 140 publications in renowned specialist publications and presented his research at national and international congresses. He is a member of numerous professional societies and serves on national and international committees. Currently, Dr. Kiani is the Head of the Department of Medicine IV at Klinikum Bayreuth GmbH, where he played a key role in setting up the recently certified oncology center, which he now heads. He is also the medical director of the Upper Franconia Cancer Registry and serves as a board member at the Upper Franconia Tumor Center. Additionally, he is the 2nd Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Erlangen-EMN, a regional network against cancer in which the Bayreuth clinic, together with the University Hospital Erlangen and the Bamberg Social Foundation, forms one of the twelve top German oncological centers.
