Dr. Wilfried Schupp received his MD at Ulm University. He completed residency programs in Psychiatry at the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry, Munich, and in Neurology at the Clinic for Neurology of Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU), Munich. Dr. Schupp is certified as a neurologist, psychiatrist, physiatrist, and geriatrist, and for social medicine.
For almost 25 years, Dr. Schupp has been the Medical Head of the Department for Neurology and Neuropsychology at the Specialist Clinic Herzogenaurach, a privately owned rehabilitation clinic affiliated with Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. Since 1997 he has been a Lecturer at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg and since 2021 Dr. Schupp has been holding a Private Practice in Neurology and Rehabilitation at Therapy Center Hardpark.
Dr. Schupp's scientific work deals with clinical approaches to neurorehabilitative problems in stroke, TBI, and others, even rare neuromuscular diseases. He is a member of many national and European advisory boards and is listed on Editorial boards of national and European journals in the field of (neuro) rehabilitation and social medicine.
