Dr. Gerhard Schaller

Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schaller studied medicine at the Christian-Albrecht University of Kiel and RWTH Aachen University. He completed specialist training at the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Free University of Berlin and at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He later took the positions of the Assistant Medical Director at the Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Medical Center Benjamin Franklin of the Charité and the Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Medicine in Gynecology at the same institution. Before his current position as the Head of the Breast Care Institute in Munich, Dr. Schaller was appointed as the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Ruhr University Bochum.

Dr. Schaller is a member of various national and international scientific societies. He has been a Corresponding Member of the American Association for Cancer Research since 1995 and was a Member of the Guideline Commission of the German Cancer Society. Dr. Schaller authored and co-authored more than 80 publications.
