Dr. Andreas Veihelmann is a highly experienced and qualified orthopedic surgeon with a specialization in rheumatology, sports medicine, and minimally invasive spine surgery. He obtained his MD from the Albert Einstein University of Ulm, and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 1987.
Dr. Veihelmann has an impressive work history with various positions and responsibilities. He completed a Sub-Internship in the Department of Orthopedics at New York University Hospital from 1993 to 1994. Then, Dr. Veihelmann served as a Resident in the Department of Surgery and Orthopedics at the Rechts der Isar Hospital of the Technical University of Munich and, thereafter, completed another residency program at the Department of Orthopedics of the Grosshadern Clinic of the Ludwig Maximilians-University of Munich.
Dr. Veihelmann did a Spine Surgery Fellowship at the Grosshadern Clinic of the Ludwig Maximilians-University of Munich, before serving as a Senior Physician in the Department of Orthopedics at the same clinic. He became the Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at SRH-Healthcenter Bad Herrenalb in Bad Herrenalb, Germany in 2006. Since 2010, Dr. Veihelmann has been the Head of the Department of Spine Surgery and Pain Medicine at Sports Clinic Stuttgart.
Dr. Veihelmann is also an active member of various professional associations, including the German Association for Spine Therapy, the Spine Section of the German Society for Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery, and the German Pain Association, among others. He is the President of the German Association for Spine Therapy and an Advisor in Immunology/Rheumatology at the German Association for Basic Science of the German Society for Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery (DGOOC).
In addition to his extensive work experience and affiliations, Dr. Veihelmann has published over 60 publications in his area of expertise, making him a highly respected and influential figure in his field.
