Biography

Dr. Wilfried Schupp is a highly qualified and experienced medical professional, specializing in neurology and rehabilitation. He received his MD from Ulm University and completed residency programs in psychiatry and neurology at the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry and the Clinic for Neurology of Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich, respectively. He is certified as a neurologist, psychiatrist, physiatrist, geriatrist, and social medicine practitioner. Dr. Schupp has an impressive ...career spanning several decades, during which he held various leadership positions in different specialist clinics in Germany. He was the Medical Head of the Department for Neurology and Neuropsychology at the Specialist Clinic Herzogenaurach for almost 25 years, and before that, he served as the Medical Head and Vice Medical Head of the Department of Neurology at the Specialist Clinic Enzensberg. Currently, Dr. Schupp holds a private practice in neurology and rehabilitation at the Therapy Center Hardpark, Germany. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Schupp is also involved in academic and scientific activities. Since 1997, he has been a lecturer at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, teaching (neuro)rehabilitation in medicine and sports sciences. He is also a member of many national and European advisory boards and is listed on editorial boards of national and European journals in the field of (neuro) rehabilitation and social medicine. Dr. Schupp's scientific work focuses on clinical approaches to neurorehabilitative problems in stroke, traumatic brain injury, and rare neuromuscular diseases. He has authored more than 100 publications and is affiliated with numerous professional organizations, including the European Academy of Neurology, the German Society for Neurology, and the International Society for Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
