Biography

Dr. Loay Farasin is a specialized urologist with a subspecialty in uro-oncology. He obtained his MD degree from Cairo University in 2008 and has since completed a series of residency programs and training courses to hone his medical skills. He practiced medicine in Jordan before moving to Germany, where he currently works as a consultant urologist at Malteser Hospital-St. Carolus in Goerlitz. Dr. Farasin's professional affiliations include the Saxon State Medical Association, the European Boa...rd of Urology, and the European Association of Urology. In 2021, he was awarded the German Board of Urology certification by the Saxon State Medical Association. In 2022, he completed a fellowship in medical urological oncology and received a diploma in laparoscopic urology from Strasbourg University in France. Before joining Malteser Hospital-St. Carolus, Dr. Farasin worked as a urology specialist and resident at the same hospital. He also completed residency programs in urology at Evangelic Clinic Bethel, Muenster University in Bielefeld, Germany, and Al-Bashir and Al-Totanji Hospitals in Amman, Jordan.
