Dr. Cristiana Marques

Dr. Cristiana Marques is an experienced Medical Oncologist who is currently practicing at Vila Nova de Gaia/Espinho Hospital Center, Portugal. She completed her Medical Oncology residency at Sao Joao Hospital, Porto, Portugal, in 2018, and has also undergone training in the Phase 1 unit at Jiménez Díaz Foundation University Hospital, Madrid, Spain. Additionally, she completed a Full-year Internship at Vila Nova de Gaia Hospital Center in 2011. Dr. Marques is certified by the European Society ...for Medical Oncology and the Oncology Portuguese Society. She has received specialized training in the field of oncology, including ESMO Preceptorship on Breast Cancer and Colorectal Cancer, and has completed the XXVII Advanced Course in Medical Oncology. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Occupational Medicine from the Oporto Faculty of Medicine, Portugal. As a Medical Oncologist, Dr. Marques has a special interest in treating Breast cancer and Gynecological cancers. She has participated in over 10 clinical research studies as a principal investigator or co-investigator. Dr. Marques is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Portuguese Medical Association, the European Society for Medical Oncology, the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, and Solti member. Dr. Marques has been recognized for her contributions to the field of oncology, receiving awards such as the First Prize for Poster presentations at IV Perspectives in Oncology in 2016 and the Honorable Mention-Poster presentations at III Perspectives in Oncology in 2015. Her research work includes studies on multiple primary neoplasms, neurological paraneoplastic syndrome, and metabolic control in diabetics with pancreatic cancer.
