Dr. Stefan Mueller studied Medicine at the University of Wuerzburg. He started Urological training at the Department of Urology of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, United States, and completed his residency at the Department of Urology of the University of Mainz in Germany. Dr. Mueller had another international experience as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Urology of the Urinary Stone Center at the University of California, San Francisco, United States. Positions as an Assitant Professor and then Associate Professor at the University of Mainz proceeded. For nearly 25 years, Dr. Mueller was a Professor of Urology and Chairman at the University of Bonn. He is currently a Senior Consulting Professor at Frankfurt University Hospital and holds a private practice at Beta Clinic.

Dr. Mueller is an Honorary Member of the North Rhine-Westphalia Society for Urology and the German Society of Urology. He is also the former President of those societies in addition to the European Board of Urology.
