Biography

Dr. Matthias Krause is a specialist in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He holds MD from the University of Hamburg, Germany. He was the Congress President of the 11th Annual Congress of the German Knee Society 2022, Munich, is a Member of the Board of the German Knee Society, the Head of the Fractures Committee of the German Knee Society, and an active Member of the AGA Ligament Committee.

Dr. Krause is specialized in Complex knee surgery with a special focus on multiligament injuries including acute knee dislocations (Lead author S2E AWMF guideline "Knee joint dislocation"); Acute treatment of all fractures near the knee joint (femur, patella, head of tibia) (Lead author S2k AWMF guideline "Tibial plateau fracture"]; Therapy of chronic multi-dimensional misalignment of the knee joint including revision surgery after a tibial plateau fracture (intra-articular and extra-articular osteotomy); Multi-dimensional axis corrections for bowlegs, knock knees, torsion errors, leg lengthening, slope corrections; Revision cruciate ligament surgery including anterior and posterior cruciate ligament, collateral ligament and rotational instability; All methods of reconstructive cartilage therapy (ACT, AMIC, MC, OATS).
