Dr. Israel Zighelboim

Dr. Israel Zighelboim is a highly accomplished medical doctor specializing in gynecologic oncology. He is currently the Network Chairman of the Department of Oncology and Cancer Center at St. Luke's University Health Network in PA-NJ, USA, where he also serves as an attending Gynecologic Oncologist at St. Luke's Cancer Care Associates. In addition, he is a Clinical Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Zighelboim has an impressive educational background, having earned his MD degree from the Central University of Venezuela in 1999. He has also held various academic and clinical positions at prestigious institutions such as Baylor College of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine, and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Throughout his career, Dr. Zighelboim received numerous awards and honors, including the George Feldman Achievement Award for Young Leadership from the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley in 2020, the Outstanding Editorial Board Reviewer for 2022 and the RockStar Award for Most Reviews Completed, and the Lighting Award for Fastest Turnaround from Gynecologic Oncology Case Reports in 2022. He is also an author and co-author of over 120 publications, including peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, and abstracts.

Dr. Zighelboim is affiliated with many professional organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Venezuelan Society of Gynecologic Oncology, and the American College of Surgeons, among others. He is also an Associate Editorial Board Member of the American Journal of Clinical and Experimental Obstetrics and Gynecology and an Editorial Board Member of Gynecologic Oncology Case Reports.
