Biography

Dr. Daniele De Luca received his MD from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Italy. He furthered his training and received Post-graduation Diplomas in Pediatric Emergency and Neonatal Pulmonology at the same university. In 2007 Dr. De Luca obtained Specialization Diploma in Pediatrics and Neonatal Critical Care.

Dr. De Luca is currently the Chief of the Division of Pediatrics, Transportation, and Neonatal Critical Care at South Paris University, “A.Beclere” Medical Centre in France. He also holds a Full Professorship in Neonatology at Paris Saclay University.

Dr. De Luca is the current President of the European Society for Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care (ESPNIC). He has authored and co-authored more than 100 publications and he has a particular interest in pulmonology research (namely surfactant catabolism, lung tissue inflammation, lung ultrasound, respiratory support, lung mechanics, ARDS epidemiology).
