Biography

Dr. Stefan Mueller is a renowned urologist who has had an illustrious career spanning over four decades. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Wuerzburg and began his urological training at the Department of Urology of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, United States. After completing his residency at the Department of Urology of the University of Mainz in Germany, he gained international experience as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Urology of the Urinary S...tone Center at the University of California, San Francisco, United States. Dr. Mueller has held various academic positions in the field of urology. He served as an Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor at the University of Mainz before becoming a Professor of Urology and Chairman at the University of Bonn, where he spent nearly 25 years. Currently, he is a Senior Consulting Professor at Frankfurt University Hospital and has a private practice at Beta Clinic. Dr. Mueller is a respected member of the urological community and has been recognized with numerous honors and awards. He is an Honorary Member of the North Rhine-Westphalia Society for Urology and the German Society of Urology, and a Fellow of the European Board of Urology. He also serves as the former President of these societies in addition to the European Board of Urology. Dr. Mueller is a former Member of the “International Committee” of the AUA. Among his many achievements, Dr. Mueller has been awarded the Maximilian Nitze Medal by the German Society of Urology, the Maximilian Nitze Prize at the 51st Congress of the German Society for Urology, and the Boehringer Ingelheim Prize. He has also received recognition for his research work, including the Best Poster Presentation at the 14th Congress of the European Association of Urology and the Best Videofilm at the 6th International Forum of Andrology.
