Dr. Miguel Bigotte Vieira

Dr. Miguel Bigotte Vieira is a Nephrologist and Dialysis specialist with a subspeciality in Renal Transplantation. He received his medical degree from the University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 2012. Dr. Bigotte Vieira has a two-year degree from Harvard Medical School in the methods and conduct of clinical research. He is currently working as a Nephrology Specialist at Central Lisbon University Hospital Center in Portugal. Dr. Bigotte Vieira has an extensive work experience in the field of Nephro...logy. He has experience in various hospitals and clinics in Portugal, the United States, and the United Kingdom, including Lisbon University Hospital Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Dr. Bigotte Vieira has received several awards for his work in Nephrology, including the Liliana Pinho - Diaverum Award from the Portuguese Society of Nephrology in 2021, the Portuguese Epidemiology Association Award in 2020, and the European Society of Endocrinology Young Investigator Award in 2018. He has also been awarded several honors certificates from the Portuguese Society of Nephrology, the Portuguese Society of Diabetology, and the National Association of Dialysis Centres. Dr. Bigotte Vieira has more than 30 publications to his credit. He is a participant in the Editorial Training Program of Kidney 360, an initiative of the American Society of Nephrology. He has also participated in the New England Journal of Medicine Trainee Course and the Portugal Clinical Scholars Research Training at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bigotte Vieira is a member of the Portuguese Medical Association and has served as a past member of the Lisbon North University Hospital Center Fellows Council and the Portuguese Medical Association National Fellows Council.
