Biography

Dr. Eyas Alkhalili is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the School of Medicine, Texas Tech University HSC in El Paso, TX. He has held this position since 2018. Dr. Alkhalili obtained his M.B.B.S (Medicine Bachelor, Bachelor of Surgery) degree from The University of Jordan, School of Medicine in Amman, Jordan, in 2008. He also completed a visiting medical student clerkship at Yale University Hospital in 2007. Dr. Alkhalili has gained valu...able clinical experience through various positions in the medical field. He completed a Medical Internship at Jordan Hospital in Amman, Jordan, from 2008 to 2009 and participated in the Resident King Hussain Cancer Center Transitional Residency Program in Amman, Jordan, in 2009. Furthermore, Dr. Alkhalili served as an Emergency and Critical Care physician at Tela Al-Ali Hospital in Amman, Jordan, from 2009 to 2011. He also worked as a Physician at the National Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Genetics in Amman, Jordan, from 2011 to 2012. Dr. Alkhalili pursued further specialization and training in surgery. He completed preliminary training in General Surgery as a PGY-1 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, from 2012 to 2013 and as a PGY-2 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH, from 2013 to 2014. He also received the Dr. William Kridelbaugh Award for First Place in the Resident Research Presentation Competition at The American College of Surgeons, New Mexico Chapter Meeting in 2015.
