Dr. Elena Sagayan

Dr. Elena Sagayan is a skilled Obstetrics and Gynecology physician and surgeon with extensive experience working in the healthcare industry. She began her medical career in Russia, where she completed her residency and clinical fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Kuban Medical Academy. Dr. Sagayan subsequently worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution. After relocating to the United States, Dr. Sagayan completed an inter...nship at the Kaiser Permanente Division of Research in Oakland, California. She then served as a Research Associate at the University of California San Francisco Institute for Health Policy Studies. Dr. Sagayan continued her medical training as a resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California, followed by a residency at LAC – USC Women's and Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. Dr. Sagayan has a Master of Public Health degree from the University of California Berkeley School of Public Health and an MD from the Kuban Medical Academy. She has a range of skills in minimally invasive gynecological surgeries, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, hysteroscopies, and LEEP procedures, among others. Dr. Sagayan is affiliated with several organizations, including the Armenian Healthcare Association of the Bay Area (AHABA), the San Francisco Bay Area Artzakh Task Force, the Armenian Medical International Committee (AMIC), the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the North American Menopause Society (NAMS). Dr. Sagayan has published about ten papers related to her work in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Additionally, she is currently serving as the President of AHABA and is an Executive Committee member and Treasurer of AMIC.
