Dr. Dietmar Meessen

Dr. Dietmar Meessen is an experienced medical professional with a background in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He received his MD from the University of Muenster in 1973 and began his career at the Community and Teaching Hospital Wetzlar. From there, he went on to become the Head of the Medical Clinic at Mathilden Hospital Herford in 1985, a position he held for over two decades. In 2009, Dr. Meessen took on a new role as the Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at the Communit...y and Teaching Hospital Bielefeld, where he worked until 2012. Since then, he has been working in private practice as an internist and gastroenterologist in Muenster, Germany. Throughout his career, Dr. Meessen has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological diseases, using various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as ERCPs with endoscopic papillotomy, stone extractions, stent implantations, colonoscopies with polypectomy, endoscopic ultrasound, and transabdominal sonography.
