Dr. Christian Pallasch is a senior physician in Clinic I for Internal Medicine at the University Hospital in Cologne, Germany. He has a strong clinical focus on chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), B-cell lymphoma, and interdisciplinary treatment of urogenital tumors. He is also a professor of the tumor microenvironment and therapy resistance at the medical faculty at the University Hospital. Dr. Pallasch completed his MD degree from the University of Saarland, Oslo, and Cologne in 2003. He th...en worked as an assistant doctor and research assistant in Clinic I for Internal Medicine at the University Hospital in Cologne until 2009. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge from 2009 to 2012. Back at the Cologne University Hospital, he became a Principal Investigator, completed his training as a specialist in internal medicine, oncology, and hematology in 2014, received the venia legendi for the subject of internal medicine in 2017, and since 2018 has been working as a chief physician. In 2022 Dr. Pallasch became the Head of Interdisciplinary Oncology Cluster 2 at the Center for Integrated Oncology (CIO) Aachen/Bonn/Cologne/Düsseldorf. Dr. Pallasch is an associate editor for “Oncology Research and Treatment” and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for international journals, including Blood, Leukemia, Cancer Research, and funding organizations, including the German Science Foundation, German Cancer Aid, Dutch Cancer Society, and Cancer Research UK. He has over 100 publications and book chapters.
