Dr. Alessandro D'Avino

Dr. Alessandro D'Avino is an Infectious Disease Specialist with extensive experience in the field. He received his MD from the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy, and also completed a Master of Advanced Study in Infections in Surgery at the same university. Dr. D'Avino started his career as a Resident in Infectious Diseases at Gemelli Polyclinic and has since held various positions in the field. He worked as an Infectious Diseases Consultant at Casilino Polyclinic from 2018 to... 2019 and as a Research Fellow at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart- Agostino Gemelli University Hospital from 2015 to 2017. He also worked as a Research Investigator at the Clinical Trial Unit - Institute of Clinical Infectious Diseases - UCSC Rome from 2009 to 2015. Currently, Dr. D'Avino is a Senior Infectious Diseases Consultant at Cristo Re General Hospital and also serves as the Head of the Hospital Infection Control Committee. He is a Team Leader for the COVID-19 Task Force at Cristo Re General Hospital, where he focuses on antimicrobials and MDROs, particularly in the ICU department. Dr. D'Avino has more than 40 publications to his name.
