Dr. Thomas Rath is a specialist in internal medicine, nephrology, hypertension, and infectious diseases. He is the Head of the Department of Nephrology and Transplantation Medicine at Westpfalz-Klinikum in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and also the Outpatient Clinic for patients with HIV-Infection. Dr. Rath has more than 25 years of experience in renal transplantation and dialysis, 15 years of experience as the Head of the department, and more than 25 years of experience in HIV Medicine.
Dr. Rath is the founding member of the HIV-network Rhineland-Palatine, a Principal investigator and co-investigator in clinical trials, and an active member of many national and international societies. During his scientific career, he has published more than 15 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has more than 150 congress publications. Dr. Rath also lectures about “artificial organ support” at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in the Department of Physics.
