Dr. Ruediger Braun is a highly accomplished physician and researcher with expertise in infectious diseases, pathology, microbiology, and virology. He obtained his MD from the Universities of Freiburg and Heidelberg in 1979 and went on to practice at the German Cancer Research Center, Ernst-Rodenwald-Institute, Koblenz University, and Emory University in Germany and the United States until 1986.
From 1990 to 1993, Dr. Braun served as the Head of the Institute of Virology at Bayer AG in Wuppertal, Germany, and later as Director, Board Member, and Head of Research at Bayer Yakuhin in Osaka, Japan from 1993 to 1996. He also held the position of Partner at Laboratory Prof. Enders in Stuttgart, Germany, from 1996 to 2011.
In 2000, Dr. Braun was appointed as the Physician in Chief at the Laboratory of the Communal Hospital Esslingen, where he served until 2019. He also held the position of Managing Director of MVZ Laboratory Ludwigsburg from 2011 to 2022.
Dr. Braun has been an active member of various scientific and academic societies, including those focused on infectious diseases and the economy. He has served as the former Editor-in-chief of Intervirology and a member of the Editorial Boards of Infection and Clinical Laboratory.
Throughout his career, Dr. Braun has focused on research in infectious diseases, pathology, microbiology, virology, and vaccination.
