Biography

Dr. Raul Moreno has been the head of the Interventional Cardiology Section at Hospital La Paz since 2006. He is the past president of the Association of Interventional Cardiology of Spain. He is an expert on acute coronary syndromes, percutaneous coronary intervention (> 10,000 procedures), and percutaneous treatment of structural heart diseases including valvular and non-valvular diseases (> 1,000 procedures).

Dr. Moreno is the director of the Master of Interventionism on Structural Heart Disease (Francisco de Vitoria University), a professor in 4 masters related to the specialty. He participated as a principal investigator, national coordinator, co-investigator of the executive committee in more than 80 clinical trials related to the specialty. Dr. Moreno is currently associate editor of the journal REC: Interventional Cardiology. Chief Editor of the journal World J Cardiol in the years 2009-2011.
