Dr. Rainer Ganschow is a highly qualified medical professional with expertise in Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Immunology, Transplantation, and Sports Medicine. He holds numerous positions in the medical field, including Director of the University Children's Hospital Bonn and Head of Pediatric Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at the Center of Transplantation of the University Hospital Hamburg in Germany. He has also been the former Head of Pediatric Immunology at the University of Hamburg.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ganschow has been an active member of numerous national and international associations, including the European Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), and the American Society of Transplantation (AST). He has also been the president of the Working Group "Pediatric Liver Transplantation," Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology since 2012.
Dr. Ganschow's professional contributions extend beyond his clinical practice, as he has authored more than 140 publications, including articles and book chapters. He has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Poster Award from the German Transplant Society, the Caspar Tyrell Award from the Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, and the Oral Presentation Award from the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS), San Francisco.
