Biography

Dr. Rainer Ganschow is specialized in Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Immunology and Transplantation, and Sports Medicine. He is the Director of the University Children`s Hospital Bonn and the Head of Pediatric Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at the Center of Transplantation of the University Hospital Hamburg in Germany. Additionally, Dr. Ganschow is the former Head of Pediatric Immunology at the University of Hamburg.

Dr. Ganschow has published more than 140 articles and book chapters. He is an active member of numerous national and international associations, including the European Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), and the American Society of Transplantation (AST). Dr. Ganschow has been the president of the Working Group “Pediatric Liver Transplantation”, Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology since 2012.
