Dr. Pierre-Yves Bondiau received a Medical Degree from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. In 1996, he obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in "Radiation and Imaging in Medicine" from Paul Sabatier University. Dr. Bondiau furthered his training and received a Diploma of Specialized Studies in Oncologic Radiotherapy and a Complementary Specialized Studies Diploma in Chemotherapy from Paris Descartes University. He completed his academic journey by obtaining a Physicist Doctor degree in 2004 from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis with High Honors, where his research focused on "Implementation and evaluation of image fusion tools in radiotherapy." In 2007, Dr. Bondiau received the Habilitation to Supervise Research from the same university for his research contributions to high-precision radiotherapy.
Dr. Bondiau has significant professional experience, having started as a Radiotherapist at the Centre Antoine Lacassagne in 1998. He then became a Cyberknife Specialist Practitioner/Cancer Center Specialist Practitioner at the same institution in 2000. Currently, Dr. Bondiau is the Head of the Radiotherapy department at the Centre Antoine Lacassagne.
In addition, Dr. Bondiau has extensive experience in clinical trials/studies. He has been the Principal Investigator for five trials/studies, starting with a Phase III in Hematology, Interventional Trial in 2017. He has also been the Principal Investigator for two Clinical Studies and two other Interventional Trials. The Clinical studies are related to all the fields of Cancers as well as one of the Interventional Trials. The other Interventional Trial is related to the central nervous system.
