Dr. Philip Voorneveld

Dr. Philip Voorneveld earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Medicine from Leiden University Medical Center, Netherlands, in 2010, and went on to pursue his PhD in the same institution. He focused his research on the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathway and its role in colorectal cancer progression.

After completing his PhD, Dr. Voorneveld worked as a resident in internal medicine and gastroenterology at The Hague Hospital from 2016 to 2019. He then continued his training as a resident in gastroenterology at Leiden University Medical Hospital from 2019 to 2022, after which he joined the hospital as a gastroenterologist and consultant for inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Voorneveld is a member of several professional organizations, including the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation, the Dutch Association of Gastrointestinal and Liver Physicians, and the Netherlands Society of Gastroenterology. He is also an experienced reviewer for grant applications and research articles, having reviewed for the National Science Centre Poland and numerous journals such as Cancer Management and Research, International Journal of Cancer, World Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of Visualized Experiments, and Scientific Reports.

With over 40 publications to his name, Dr. Voorneveld is a well-respected figure in his field. He is a frequent speaker at regional gastroenterology meetings.
