Biography

Dr. Maurice Beghetti is the Director of the University Center of Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Geneva University Hospitals and Lausanne University Hospital. He also serves as a Professor at both University Hospitals. Moreover, Dr. Beghetti is the Pulmonary Hypertension Program Director at the Geneva University Hospitals. He has spent most of his professional career in Geneva, with a three-year fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Beghetti's competencies include Congenital heart disease and Pulmonary hypertension. He is an active member of a number of national and international societies and scientific organizations such as the Swiss Society of Pediatric Cardiology (past president), the International Association for Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension, and the Swiss Pulmonary Hypertension Group (past president). Dr. Beghetti is also active in clinical research. He has authored and co-authored more than 250 publications including books and book chapters.
