Dr. Marta Garcia Ascaso is a Specialist in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. She studied medicine at the Autonomous University of Madrid and received her Postgraduate Diplomas in Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Neonatal & Perinatal Medicine at the University of Toronto in Canada. During that time, she completed Fellowships at the Hospital for Sick Children and Mount Sinai Hospital. Currently, Dr. Garcia Ascaso is a Consultant in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital in Spain.
Dr. Garcia Ascaso is a Chairwoman of the Antimicrobial Advisory Group Committee and the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program Committee at Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital. Moreover, she is a Member and Coordinator of the Pediatric International Cooperation Committee of the Spanish Society of Paediatric Infectious Diseases.
