Dr. Karine Chahbazian is a highly skilled and experienced neurologist with over 30 years of experience in the field. She has held various positions in different hospitals and medical centers in Paris, France, and has specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of brain, spinal cord, and nerve-related disorders, including stroke and peripheral neuropathies.
Her work experience includes serving as the Head Physician of the Neurological-Neurosurgical SSR Unit at Bicetre Hospital since 2013, where she oversees the care and treatment of patients with complex neurological conditions. Prior to this role, Dr. Chahbazian worked as a practitioner and assistant specialist in the Adult Neurology department at Bicetre Hospital, as well as a hospital practitioner in the General Neurology department at Avicenne Hospital (AP-HP).
Dr. Chahbazian has also worked in the Neurology Department and Center for Reception and Treatment of Brain Attack at Bichat-Claude Bernard Hospital and completed internships in the Departments of polyvalent rehabilitation, geriatrics, and internal medicine at Hospital Center Charles Foix - Jean Rostand AP-HP.
In addition to her work experience, Dr. Chahbazian has pursued various subspecialty degrees in areas such as neurorehabilitation of movement, rehabilitation medicine, peripheral neuropathies, neurovascular pathology, and migraine and headaches. She also holds a State Diploma of Specialized Studies in Neurology and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi.
Dr. Chahbazian's expertise extends to the treatment of progressive diseases such as multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease, as well as the use of botulinum toxin to treat spasticity in muscles, including conditions such as torticollis, blepharospasm, and spastic hemiparesis.
