Biography

Dr. Gertjan Kaspers is an experienced Pediatric Oncologist focusing on acute myeloid leukemia and acute promyelocytic leukemia. He received his medical degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam with honors and completed PhD research on "Glucocorticoid response in vivo and in vitro in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia" at Amsterdam UMC, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Dr. Kaspers held the position of a Pediatric Oncologist/Hematologist for nearly 20 years at Amsterdam UMC, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam where he is currently a Full professor of Pediatric Oncology.

Dr. Kaspers has more than 500 publications and is the author of 6 books. He is also an active member of various national and international scientific associations including the Royal Dutch Society of Medicine and the International Society of Pediatric Oncology.
