Dr. Florian Wolf is the Vice Director of the Division of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at the General Hospital in Vienna, the largest Interventional Radiology Department in Europe. He has many years of experience there and has gained a broad knowledge in this innovative section of Radiology.
Dr. Wolf is specialized in Cardiovascular Imaging (CT and MRI) and Oncological Imaging (Ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET-CT, PET-MRI). As an interventional Radiologist, he performs a broad spectrum of vascular and non-vascular interventions: Vascular Diseases (treatment of arterial occlusive disease, chronic or acute aortic dissection, aneurysms of the aorta or other vessels, acute stroke), Oncological Diseases (transarterial chemo- or radio-embolization of the liver, pre-surgical or palliative embolization of hyper-vascularized tumours, portal-vein embolization, percutaneous trans-hepatic biliary drainage (PTBD), CT-guided radiofrequency or microwave ablation of tumours), Different Benign Diseases (uterine fibroid embolization, prostate embolization in benign prostate hyperplasia, treatment of pelvic congestion syndrome or varicocele, vascular malformations), Pain Management (CT-guided infiltration of the spine and other regions).
