Dr. Daria Podlekareva is a Specialist in Infectious Diseases with extensive experience in the field. She has held various roles, including Consultant at the Department of Respiratory Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Bispebjerg Hospital, Consultant at the Department of Acute Medicine at the North Zealand Hospital, and Senior Researcher and External Consultant at the Centre of Excellence for Health, Immunity and Infections (CHIP) at Rigshospitalet. Dr. Podlekareva is also an External Consultant at the World Health Organization (WHO), Regional Office for Europe, Copenhagen, Denmark, where she provides consultation for EECA countries on the management of HIV, TB, and viral hepatitis, and organization of Health Care for these diseases, as well as teaching.
Her primary research interests include Tuberculosis (TB), drug-resistant (DR) TB, HIV, and viral hepatitis infections, including HIV/TB/HCV coinfection in countries of EECA: epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic, management, and outcomes. She is a co-author of more than 80 publications and an author of more than 10 publications. Dr. Podlekareva is affiliated with various organizations, including the European AIDS Clinical Society, the Healthcare Committee for Infectious Diseases in Copenhagen, and the Danish Infectious Disease Society.
Dr. Podlekareva also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Tropical Medicine and International Health and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Decision‐making for Drug‐Resistant Tuberculosis from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium, and an MD from Minsk State Medical University.
