Dr. Daria Podlekareva is a Specialist in Infectious Diseases. She is currently a Consultant at the Department of Respiratory Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Bispebjerg Hospital, a Consultant at the Department of Acute Medicine at the North Zealand Hospital, and a Senior Researcher and External Consultant at the Centre of Excellence for Health, Immunity and Infections (CHIP) at Rigshospitalet. Furthermore, Dr. Podlekareva is an External Consultant at World Health Organization (WHO), Regional Office for Europe, Copenhagen, Denmark. Her main tasks are a) consultation for EECA countries on the management of HIV, TB, and viral hepatitis, and organization of Health Care for these diseases; and b) teaching.
Dr. Podlekareva's primary research interests include Tuberculosis (TB), drug-resistant (DR) TB, HIV, and viral hepatitis infections, including
HIV/TB/HCV coinfection in countries of EECA: epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic, management, and outcomes.
